Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a District leader:

I am prior law enforcement and a military veteran. In these fields I have held many training and leadership positions. A key fundamental is organization which is necessary to over such a vast role as division director.

What experience do you have in strategic planning?

My prior jobs were inundated with strategic planning. It eventually became my natural way of processing tasks.

What experience do you have in the area of finance?

Very little outside of handling personal finances.

What experience do you have in developing procedures?

I have written, observed, and implemented how various policies and procedures can be effective and have adjusted to such throughout my careers.

What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?

As a club president learned the practice of patience and understanding your team were ingrained into my methods of operation.

Why do you want to serve as a District leader?

If I can’t build it myself, I enjoy helping others to build. The integration of districts into 77 is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of that reorganization.

In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?

Working on the building and retention of clubs and members is the lifeline to overall success. This can be achieved through effective collaboration and support of all members, all positions, and all levels. I would work to establish good lines of communication What are plans good for if nobody knows about them?
