Additional opportunities will be available to serve as 2026 – 2027 District committee chairs, project managers, and team members which will be announced after elections.

Toastmasters District 77 Public Relations Team


Our Public Relations Team will focus on achieving the following key objectives:

Enhance District Visibility – Build awareness of District 77’s mission, events, and achievements across local and digital media platforms to strengthen our community presence.

Amplify Member Success Stories – Develop compelling narratives that showcase member achievements, personal growth, and leadership development to inspire current and prospective members.

Strengthen Media Relations – Cultivate partnerships with local media outlets and influencers to secure consistent coverage of district initiatives and milestone events.

Expand Digital Presence – Create and maintain engaging content across social media channels, newsletters, and the district website to reach diverse audiences and foster member engagement.

Drive Membership Growth – Implement targeted communication campaigns that attract new members while retaining current ones through consistent, value-driven messaging.

Support Club Communications – Provide resources, guidance, and training to club-level leaders to ensure cohesive messaging and effective local communications

To help fulfill the above objectives, PRM-Appointed Lessie Hayes, DTM is looking for the following team members

1. Public Relations Assistant – Assists the Public Relations Manager with the overall PR strategy by helping to coordinate communications projects, assisting with event promotion, managing administrative tasks, and helping to ensure timely delivery of PR initiatives across all channels. 1 slot

2. Social Media Team – Creates, schedules, and manages engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms. Monitors audience interaction responds to comments, and tracks analytics to optimize reach and engagement with district members and the community. 2 slots: LeNelle Thompson, Your Name___________________

3. Website Team – Maintains and updates the district website to ensure all information is current, accurate, and user-friendly. Manages website navigation, uploads new content, and ensures the site effectively represents District 77’s mission and programs. 3 slots

4. Newsletter Copy Editor – Edits compelling written content for district newsletters and communications. Ensures messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with district branding while proofreading for accuracy and quality before distribution. 1 slot

5.  Newsletter Design Editor – arranges the compelling written content for the district newsletters and communications. Ensures the messages and content are consistent and aligned with district branding while working to make the newsletter pleasing to the eye and appealing to readers. 1 slot

6. Media Outreach Team – helps to build and maintain relationships with local journalists, news outlets, and media contacts. Pitches district stories and achievements to secure media coverage; coordinates press releases and manages inquiries from the media. 2/3 slots

7.  Technical Team – This team will include a Zoom Master, and other Zoom assistants, there is a need for people to assist Toastmasters that may need help with their pathway journeys or help with their devices to attend meetings etc. 4/5 slots.
