Welcome to your go-to resource center for District 77 Area Directors.
Here, you’ll find everything you need to plan visits, guide clubs, lead area events, and achieve Distinguished recognition.

We build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence.

Your role as Area Director is to:

  • Serve as the link between clubs and the District.
  • Visit each club twice per year to assess quality and offer guidance.
  • Lead the Area Council (club presidents, VPEs, and VPMs).

Your Area Director Club Visit Report is based on the Moments of Truth framework.
Each visit helps identify strengths, challenges, and growth opportunities.

Key Documents:

Qualifying Requirements (DCP):

  • Club must have 20+ members or net growth of 3 by June 30.
  • Club Success Plan submitted by September 30.
  • Minimum of five DCP goals achieved for Distinguished status.

Track your progress monthly via District Performance Reports

Every Area conducts contests following official Toastmasters rules.

Resources:

Tip: Plan contests early in collaboration with your Division Director and ensure all judges are eligible and trained.

As an Area Director:

  • Attend and facilitate Club Officer Training (COT) twice a year.
  • Participate in District training sessions and Area Council meetings (at least twice yearly). (Source: Club Leadership Handbook, p. 9)
