Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a District leader:
In partnership the AIM Institute of Technology and five Community Technology Center sites, I organized training teams, developed and administered training programs through collaborative initiatives within the Greater Omaha Community with over 2000 people earning various Microsoft/Cisco/HP certifications over a 3-year period.
What experience do you have in strategic planning?
As a Coordinator of Community Technology Centers funded by the AIM Institute of Omaha, optimal strategic planning and creative thinking skills were engaged to form partnerships with businesses needing technology savvy employes. These partnerships resulted in retention of employees, enhanced productivity, and decrease in new hire training expenses.
What experience do you have in the area of finance?
As a Coordinator of Community Technology Centers funded by the AIM Institute of Omaha, branding and marketing training and technology services in membership bundles ensured sustainable funding source beyond grants limitations of grant wards.
What experience do you have in developing procedures?
As a Coordinator of Community Technology Centers funded by the AIM Institute of Omaha, I was responsible for setting training guidelines, standard operating policies, and conducting briefings to review effectiveness of policies and procedures under the guidance of the CTC Advisory Committee.
What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?
As a Coordinator of Community Technology Centers funded by the AIM Institute of Omaha, I learned to delegate, review project progress regularly, and to be flexible in administration of training.
Why do you want to serve as a District leader?
I am interested the District 77 leadership team to use my leadership skillsgained from Toastmasters to help club members as D77 transition in the 2026-2027 program year while growing new clubs and strengthening existing clubs.
In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?
The District mission is to build new clubs and support clubs. I will work to achieve these goals through supporting clubs through training experienced members to be effective club coaches, mentors, sponsors of members/clubs, and offering leadership opportunities for growth.
Additional information about yourself:
Toastmasters has been an incredible journey me since joining in2018. Through completing Toastmasters’ Pathways Projects, I have gained confidence in my leadership and public speaking skills. I am well on my wayto earning the Distinguished Toastmaster designation.
